Set up your workspace and go live

The five checks between a new workspace and one that can run campaigns.

A new workspace can look around, connect WhatsApp and reply to customers before it is fully live. Campaigns, journeys and the public API switch on at the end, once your number has actually sent and received a message and our team has approved the workspace.

The five stages

You can watch this on Settings → Go live. It shows exactly which check is outstanding, and a “Check again” button that re-runs them.

The five checks

  1. 1Choose a plan. Every plan starts with a free trial, and auto-pay is only charged when the trial ends.
  2. 2Connect your WhatsApp number in Settings → WhatsApp. We verify the details with Gupshup before saving them.
  3. 3Receive messages from WhatsApp: paste the callback URL we show you into your Gupshup app’s webhook settings, then message your number from your phone.
  4. 4A test message arrives in the Inbox. Send “Hi” to your WhatsApp number from any phone.
  5. 5Your reply is delivered. Reply to that message from the Inbox and wait for the delivered tick.

Approval to Live is done by a person at WABridge, not automatically. Once the five checks pass we are notified and you get an email when it is done.

What is blocked before you are live

  • Campaigns, journeys and the public API need a Live workspace.
  • Inbox replies, chatbot flows and automatic replies work as soon as WhatsApp is connected.
  • Without a plan (or after a trial lapses), you keep access to Billing, Settings, your team and everything read-only — so you can subscribe and get back in.
