Connect your WhatsApp number
Gupshup App ID, API key, and the callback URL that makes inbound messages work.
WABridge sends and receives on your own WhatsApp Business number through Gupshup. You need three things from your Gupshup app, and they all go in Settings → WhatsApp.
- 1Enter the Gupshup App ID (the app name, e.g. AaynaBot).
- 2Enter the WhatsApp phone number in full international form, digits only — for example 919000000001.
- 3Paste the Gupshup API key. It is stored encrypted and never leaves our server; the browser never sees it again.
- 4Press “Test & save”. We call Gupshup with those details and only save them if Gupshup accepts the connection.
- 5Copy the callback URL shown under the form and paste it into your Gupshup app’s webhook settings.
The callback URL contains a secret unique to your workspace. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can post messages to your workspace. If you change the App ID, the URL changes too — update it in Gupshup or inbound messages stop arriving with a 404.
Emergency stop
The same page has an “Emergency stop”. Turning it on halts every outgoing message this workspace sends — agent replies, campaigns, journeys, chatbots, AI replies, the API and the website widget. Incoming messages still arrive, so nothing is lost. You must give a reason, and it stays paused until you turn it back on.
If the banner says sending was paused by WABridge support, contact us — that switch can only be released by our team.
